Read the full storySouth Oxfordshire is a district of small towns with the Thames and the Chilterns running through it. Henley-on-Thames is the best known, on the river at the Berkshire boundary. Wallingford is upstream with its bridge and its market place, Thame is out to the north east, Goring and Watlington are smaller again, and Didcot is the largest place in the district and nothing like the rest of it.
The Henley Post covers that ground from the public record. South Oxfordshire District Council decides planning, bins, car parks and licensing; Oxfordshire County Council runs roads and schools. We say which of them a decision belongs to and link to its own record, every time.
